In this talk I will give an overview of perturbative algebraic quantum field theory (pAQFT), which is a mathematically rigorous framework to study perturbative QFT. In particular, I will focus on different notions of locality that are relevant in this framework. One is the the locality in the sense of Haag-Kastler axioms (independence of observations localized in spacelike regions) and the other is locality of interactions, which is a crucial property in Epstein-Glaser renormalization. In turns out that in pAQFT these two notions are closely related.
