Dear students, on this website you will find general information about your studies.

To stay up to date, please enrol in the Moodle  Introduction to Master in Mathematics. In this course you will find current information about your Master's degree programme.

Communication between you, the university, the Institute of Mathematics and your lecturers usually takes place by e-mail. Therefore, read your e-mails regularly (preferably daily).

Introductory event of the Institute for Master students

Dear students, we would like to invite you to the introductory event of the Institute of Mathematics for Master's students on Monday, 14 October at 4:15 pm in room 2.22 at the Institute of Mathematics (House 9, Golm Campus).

If you would like to participate in the course via Zoom, please enrol in the Moodle course Introduction to Master in Mathematics. There you will find the Zoom access data.

After the presentation of the study programme and other usual topics (mentoring or GL, FSR), the lectures and seminars offered for this winter semester will be presented by the working groups in the second part. Please make your participation possible - the lectures for Master Mathematics are cancelled on this day and at this time. The event should last about 1 hour in total.

EDUC-Kooperation mit Rennes

Unser Masterstudiengang in Potsdam unterhält eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität Rennes im Rahmen des EDUC-Programms. Durch diese Kooperation können Potsdamer Studenten per Fernstudium an Kursen in Rennes teilnehmen, und Studenten aus Rennes können per Fernstudium an Kursen in Potsdam teilnehmen. Diese Kurse werden in unserem Masterprogramm hier in Potsdam voll angerechnet, so dass Sie dieses Angebot nutzen können, um ein noch breiteres Spektrum an Kursen zu belegen.

Jedes Jahr wird eine Reihe von Kursen in Rennes in der Zeit von September bis Dezember angeboten, also etwas früher als unser Wintersemester. Diese Kurse werden im Juni hier ausgeschrieben, und eine Bestätigung Ihrer Teilnahme ist bis Juli erforderlich.

Neben den Kursen wird es das ganze Jahr über mehrere Veranstaltungen geben, die Kooperationen zwischen den Instituten beinhalten und die wir hier veröffentlichen werden.

You can apply for a position as SHK (student assistant) at the institute. For current job advertisements, please register in the Moodle course SHK/WHK Stellengesuche Mathematik. If you are enrolled in the course, you will automatically receive all new job advertisements by e-mail.

Study regulations Master of Science

In principle, the current study regulations (German: Studienordnung) apply at the time of enrolment. Enrolments are only made for the current version of the study regulations. Upon application to the examination board, a change to the currently valid study regulations is possible if you enrolled before the current regulations came into force.

In addition to the subject-specific study regulations, the associated framework regulations, which are superordinate to the study regulations, also always apply.
