In this talk, I'll have a yarn about ongoing work on the question of BVPs for elliptic first-order BVPs where the boundary is non-compact, whenever the adapted operator on the boundary is essentially self-adjoint. In particular, we are able to understand non-local boundary conditions, as well as regularity. The methods are a mix of the Borel-functional calculus along with the H∞ functional calculus.
