Towards a Lorentzian family index theorem

The family index theorem associates an index to a continuous family of Dirac operators. This index takes values in the K-theory group of the parameter space. We present first steps in our ongoing work to show a version of this Index theorem for Lorentzian manifolds. The talk is rather ad hoc and the project still in the early stages, so expectations should be kept within a bounded region.
