Shintani zeta functions generalize multizeta functions, and these in turn generalize the Riemann zeta function. They also relate to conical zeta functions associated with cones. In this talk, extending previous work by Nilsson and Passare, we discuss the meromorphic continuation of Shintani zetas to the whole complex plane and study their pole structure by means of polytopes. This work in progress is part of my PhD thesis.
