We recall how the geometry of noncommutative gauge fields naturally emerges in quantum field theory and string theory. In this context Hopf algebras in general replace the usual notion of symmetry groups. We then present a gravity theory based on quantum diffeomorphisms covariance. It is determined by the Levi-Civita connection on a braided noncommutative (pseudo) Riemannian manifold.
Forthcoming speakers are Malte Leimbach on May 28th, Alfonso Garmendía on June 4th and Konrad Waldorf on June 11th.
