The conference venue is the University Campus "Am Neuen Palais" and can easily be reached by bus or train from Potsdam Central Station "Potsdam Hbf" within a few minutes; the name of the train station is "Potsdam Park Sanssouci". From there it is a short walk to the venue.
You need to buy a Potsdam AB Zone ticket (2,30 EUR for a single ticket, 4,70 EUR for a daily ticket and 14,40 EUR for a weekly ticket) to use the public transportation in Potsdam to go the central city part and to the venue as well as to visit the historical places in Potsdam. From Berlin, you need a Berlin ABC Zone ticket (3,80 EUR for a single ticket, 10 Euro for a daily ticket and 43 Euro for a weekly ticket called "VBB-Umweltkarte ABC"), which is valid for both Berlin and Potsdam (it includes the before mentioned Potsdam AB ticket). You can buy your tickets either from a bus driver or from a ticket machine as well as from a point of sale at the airport and at Potsdam or Berlin Central Station. Alternatively, you can buy tickets also via the BVG app online on your smartphone.
The quickest way to get to Potsdam from Berlin-Airport is by bus and/or by train.

From Berlin Central Station you can get to Potsdam either by direct city train (S-Bahn) S7 or by regional train (Regionalexpress) RE1 to Magdeburg or to Brandenburg via Potsdam. The first option takes more time, which is about 40 minutes for the entire journey, although the city train leaves every 10 minutes. The second option can be used only two times in an hour, but it is 20 minutes quicker than the first one. The reception will take place in "Theaterklause" at Zimmerstr. 10-11 in Potsdam. at about 7 pm.
From the University at the New Palais one could walk walk through the "Park Sanssouci". But, unfortunately at that time it will be closed.
As an alternative, take bus 695, 605 or X5 (direction Potsdam Hauptbahnhof) and get off at "Feuerbachstrasse" or "Luisenplatz" (~10 min ride). From there it is a 5 min walk to the venue. Your daily or weekly tickets can be used for the bus.
