It is well-known that gauge theories in four-dimensional space time are conformally invariant. However, for the field equations, as they are usually written, only the Lorentz invariance is manifest.
Over 85 years ago, Dirac proposed a conformally covariant formulation in which the four dimensional field strength is embedded in a 3-form field in five-dimensional projective space. In this talk, I will review Dirac's paper (Wave equations in conformal space. Ann. of Math. (2) 37 (1936), no. 2, 429–442, https://www.jstor.org/stable/1968455 ).
